I’m originally from a small town in the middle of Kansas, but moved to Fort Worth in August 2011 to try my hand at school. I’ve been studying Strategic Communication and Film Television Digital Media at Texas Christian University ever since. I finish my degree in May and it’s a bittersweet thought.

Over the past few years I have worked as an Intramural Supervisor and Media Relations Intern. Working on campus has been a dream come true- making money, learning and getting to know all types of students and faculty.

As much as I love being on campus, interning off campus has helped keep my sanity. I’ve interned for several PR firms, Texas Motor Speedway, M&J Foods and American Airlines Center to name a few. The insane amount of information I have learned and incredible people I have met while interning for these companies is priceless. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today without these mentors in my life.

When it all comes down to it, I’ve got one goal in mind: “live life to the absolute fullest and never turn down an adventure”.

As I start to take steps into the next chapter of my life, I plan to keep my goal in mind and to make sure I have a blast while doing it. I have a long list of what I want to do; it’s just a matter of what order everything happens. So, here’s to discovering the next big step in this adventure we call life.
